HOW TO GROOM YOUR CAT
EAR CARE
- Use liquid ear cleaner and cotton ball/gauze (never cotton swabs!)
- Fold the ear back to wipe clean (be gentle!)
- Avoid rubbing earwax or dirt, simply brush it away
- Do not attempt to clean the ear canal

EYE CARE
- Examine your cat’s eyes – the eyeballs should be bright white with pupils equal in size
- Evaluate the eyelid lining – it should be pink in color, not red or white
- Remove any eye crust with a damp cotton ball

SKIN AND FUR
Brushing helps remove dirt from your kitty’s hair, but it also helps with circulation and improves the condition of their skin.
Bathing can provide the deep clean your cat may need from time to time.
Skin care includes washing your cat with natural, hypoallergenic soap, providing them with a balanced diet, and using a veterinarian-recommended flea treatment.
Tools of the Trade:
- Slicker brush
- Bristle brush
- Flea comb

NAILS
Conquer those claws!
Here’s how:
- Extend claw by pressing the toe pad
- Clip straight up, making a vertical cut
- Avoid the quick (pink area) which can bleed and cause pain
